Mini Banksy Masterpieces

The Mini Banksy Masterpieces event is set to be a highlight for young artists this holiday season. Running from Saturday, 14 December to Monday, 19 January, this engaging activity will be held in the Foyer at Tākina.

With a capacity to accommodate approximately 24 children at a time, the event promises a fun and creative experience for all participants. For just $10 per person, each child will receive two mini canvases to work on, making it an affordable and delightful way to spend a few hours.

Tokens for the event can be purchased at The Art of Banksy Box Office located in the Tākina foyer. While payment is primarily cash-only, there is an ATM available in the Te Papa foyer for convenience. Additionally, iTicket will accept eftpos payments upon request. Once tokens are acquired, they can be exchanged at the Mini Banksy Masterpieces area for canvases and easels. The creative station is well-equipped with paints, pencils, stencils, brushes, and sponges, providing everything needed for children to unleash their inner artist.

No exhibition ticket is required to participate in this activity. However, it is important to note that all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The miniature canvases, approximately 10x10cm in size, come with a wooden easel, making them perfect for display at home or as a thoughtful gift. Sessions run from 10am to 1pm, with the last entry at 12:30pm to ensure everyone has ample time to complete their masterpieces.
